Where Does all of the Human Hair Come from to Make Hair Extensions and Wigs?

The act of Tonsuring is organised by and is practiced in the temple, the temple then sells the hair on to the highest bidding "Hair collector". This hair is popularly called "Temple Hair" and is generally of very high quality.

Can you wash and blow dry/curl straighten/dye human hair?

Yes you can. Wash once every while is enough for clip in hair extensions. You can colour them, usually darker colour will take better than going lighter, as the colouring on hair extensions such as black is very strong, it will not strip off easliy.

 

                                How to look after your hair extensions

Care instructions:

Hair pieces/clip in hair:
Synthetic hair:
Iron or blow dry only with low heat
bush from bottom first, slowly work your way up

 

100% human hair:
Ply heat protection spray or lotion before ironing/curling
medium to high head can be used
allow the hair to cool in order to set curls
wash as less as possible, only wash when the hair has hair spray or products on them
The hair can be coloured, usually darker, with semi permant hair dye.
They usually cannot go lighter, as the hair is dyed to the current colour. To strip the colour can be damaging. (imagine dying your own hair black and stripping it to blonde. Damage will occur)

100% Virgin remy clip in hair:
usually dark in colour, can take some bleaching and more colouring, ironing etc without damage.
The natural virgin hair can be bleached, tinted, curled etc and can last longer under these harsh conditions.
They will stay no tangle for longer, just brush them from bottom to top. Please... We see a lot of clients dont brush their hair, which can cause tangling!

Blonde coloured human hair

Please be extra careful with blonde hair, as they have been processed from black coloured hair(Indian natural hair) and has been bleached 3 times to become blonde. If you bleach your hair 3 times, the hair will dry u and break.
Like treating your own blonde hair, it will break with bleach and perm, so please don’t bleach or perm blonde hair, it cannot take it well.

There are a few ways to keep blonde hair in good shape, the Brazilian keratin treatment helps a lot to seal the hair and keep them soft.

How long will my hair extension last?

Your hair is guaranteed to last longer with proper care.

Don’ts: don’t iron your synthetic hair at high temperature( 200c +).
Don’t wash your clip in hair too often
don’t pull on the hair, de tangle from bottom first
don’t wash your extensions in the washing machine. Oh ya. A few clients had to find that out the hard way.
Don’t bleach your blonde hair extensions. Rather tone it with silver conditioner etc

What type of products do I use to keep it looking great?

Invest in a soft brush, or hair extension brush. Brushing your extenions will solve a lot of problems!

As you know, not all hair care products are good for your hair and some products are not as effective as others. To treat your hair extensions, shampoo with sulphate free (which does not bubble at all) or Elizabeth ann baby shampoo ( pink bottle ), and condition with a good conditioner and leaving conditioner, Moroccan oil/ macadamia oil to finish.

For blonde hair, baby shampoo is essential, as the hair has gone through a lot to get to blonde. Treatments are also recommended to keep the blonde hair soft for longer.

 

Can I colour my hair human extension?

Yes! One of the great things about the real hair is that they can be colored just as you would with your own hair. Indian remy hair can take bleaching, while normal human hair can be dyed darker, and not lighter, with Henna or Inecto dye.

Going red, use Began auburn on light brown hair is the quickest way. But otherwise just email us or come through.

You can also use crazy colour to dye blonde hair, going any colour you like.

Please dye your hair with a professional who has experience colouring hair extensions, as coloured hair extensions works differently to virgin hair.
